Dear Chinmaya Family,

Hari Om!


As you know we are going to have a very special celebration this weekend and we are looking forward to the Chinmaya family in Houston perform the auspicious Sata Sahasra Rudraksa Puja on Saturday and rejoice in celebration of the 70th birthday of our Acaryas on Sunday.

Below is some important information for both the days, so that all participants can enjoy the mornings at the mission.


Program for Saturday:

        
8:00 AM –   9:15 AM     
Ganesa Puja, Kalasa Sthapana, etc.

9:15 AM – 11:30 AM Sata Sahasra Rudraksa Puja
Sankalpam, Om Namah Sivaya Japa,  Rudrabhisekam,
Siva Sahasra Namavali, Arati

11:30 AM Procession from Smrti to Sivalaya
Followed by Lunch

All members are welcome to join pujas starting from 8:00 AM.


All chanters for Siva Sahasra Namavali should be seated by
  8:45 AM.

All other members plan to be seated latest by 9:00 AM.

Children in grades Prek-grade 6 will be in Sarasvati Nilayam.

All others join the pujas in Smrti Hall and dining area.


Program for Sunday:

        
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM        
 Assemble in courtyard

9:30 AM Receive Acaryas with Purna Kalasa, dance and procession

9:40 AM Emcee – Welcome

9:45 AM – 11:15 AM Bhima Ratha Santi Puja

11:15 AM – 11:30 AM Break

11:30 AM – 12:05 PM Celebration continues …

12:05 AM Pranamas, Blessings, receiving Japamalas
Followed by Lunch


Parking:

On both the days, parking will be available in our own parking lot and in Masjid parking lot. Once our parking lot is filled up, parking volunteers will direct the members to park in the Masjid parking lot next door.


Please follow the instructions given by parking volunteers.


Dress Code:

Festive Indian attire and Chinmaya signature smile.

We will be going to the courtyard both the days, so plan to wear socks.

Please note that the chanting practice scheduled on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 PM is cancelled
