5. Upanishad Ganga update
Following is the message from Central Chinmaya Mission Trust (CCMT) :
It has been about three years now that the project Upanishad Ganga started. A lot of hard work has gone into this project by the various members of the team. On behalf of CCMT I would like to give you the updates.
- All 52 episodes have been completed successfully. For Chinmaya Mission the team members who had to put in a lot of hard work were Pujya Guruji, Swami Advayananadaji, Swamini Vimalanandaji and Br Samvidji.
- The title song and end title songs are also complete. The dedication song for this serial has been composed by Pujya Guruji.
- The masters of all episodes are almost complete.
- Now we would start the process of getting the scripts translated into the various regional Indian languages and then look at dubbing each episode in the different languages.
- Our attempts to get this serial on one of the television channels continue. However, we have learned that this requires a lot of patience and persistence.
- By the time all episodes are completed in the single language we would have spent over Rs 9 crores or US $ 2 million.
- Funds collected for this Project up to date are about Rs 6 crores. As you can all see there is still a shortfall of about Rs 3 crores but we are confident that in due course this amount too will be raised.
On behalf of all Trustees of CCMT I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation and continuous support. Such projects would remain a dream if we didn’t have this unstinted support from all.
In His Service,
H.K. Hinduja
Trustee, CCMT
