1. CMH Summer Schedule
Both BalaVihar and adult classes will remain closed during the summer time from May 22 – September 9. Classes will resume on Sunday, September 10.
There are special activities planned during the summer, and they are outlined in the items below.
2. Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi – Thurs, Aug 03, 2017
On the occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi celebration on Thursday August 3, we will have Pratima Puja & Paduka Puja from 7:30 PM
We will have Shri Suresh Subramanian, the registrar of the Vidyalaya, join us on that day. This will be a great opportunity to get latest information on Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyalaya with a presentation and a Q&A session by him as part of this program.
We urge all members to mark their calendars to join us in this very special expression of our deep reverence for our beloved Gurudeva.
Please use the Smrti door entrance and plan to be seated by 7:15 PM.

3. Summer Jnana Yajna by Swami Swaroopananda – Aug 11-15, 2017
We are happy to announce that this summer Swami Swaroopananda ji will be conducting the Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Mission Houston. The schedule for the pravacanas will be as below:

4. Opportunity to offer Bhiksa to Pujya Swami Swaroopananada during Jnana Yajna
During the Jnana Yajna from August 11 – 15, members will have an opportunity to offer bhiksa to Swami Swaroopanandaji. There will be breakfast, lunch and dinner bhiksas. Interested members are requested to contact Bhartiben Sutaria (bbsutaria@gmail.com or 281-933-0233).
5. Bala Vihar Teachers’ Training – Aug 19-20, 2017
Acarya Smt. Darshana Auntie will conduct Bala Vihar teachers’ training on August 19-20, 2017. The schedule will be as below:
Saturday Aug. 19 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday Aug. 20 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Interested members can sign up for Bala Vihar teachers’ training by responding to a special e-mail that was sent on June 24.
6. New Member Registration for Bala Vihar – Sat-Sun, Aug 26-27
Date: Aug. 26 & 27
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon
Place: Chinmaya Smrti Hall
- Bala Vihar New Registration will be conducted in Chinmaya Smrti Hall by our Welcome team from 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Detailed information will be provided at the time of registration.
- Registration will be open for all grades for both the sessions on the above two dates.
- No Registrations will be done for Bala Vihar during September 2017.
- Many of our Bala Vihar classes are nearing capacity, if we reach maximum capacity during registration period, we may stop new registrations altogether for those grades in September.
