On Sun. Nov. 1, 2015, Bala Vihar children from Grades Pre-K to Six will spend some time in the Courtyard (if weather is good and the ground is not wet). Please make sure that they are well protected from the cool weather with sweaters/jackets (if necessary) and have their socks on to protect their feet.

Please note Bhajana classes alternate with the Slokathon/Orchestra classes every other Sunday.

3. Annual Dipavali Puja – Sunday Nov. 08, 2015

All members are invited to our Annual Dipavali Puja which includes Ganesa Puja, Sri Laksmi Puja and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja. As per CMH tradition the Puja will be held in two sessions, in the Smrti Hall, on Sunday Nov. 08.

Please allow yourselves enough time to walk, park and be seated 10 minutes before time. Let us come with our families, dressed in our festive best, beaming with a heart full of love and smiles, to pray together.

3. Dipavali Food Drive by CHYKs Sundays, Nov. 1 & 8, 2015

During the auspicious festival of Dipavali, we offer “Chappan Bhog” to God. This year let us make that offering to Bhagawan through our Food Drive for the needy and contribute to the Houston Food Bank, which feeds more than half a million needy people each year.

Let us all open our hearts and pantries to donate as many pounds of foods as we can!

Our CHYK volunteers will be collecting all food items in the Dining Area after both sessions on Sundays Nov. 01 & Nov. 08, 2015

Items to bring for Donation

  • Canned fruits (in water or light syrup)
  • Whole grain pasta
  • Canned tomatoes (reduced sodium or no salt)
  • Canned green vegetables (reduced sodium or no salt)
  • Rice
  • Peanut Butter
  • Beans

5. Dipavali Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – Tue. Nov. 10, 2015

Sri Astalaksmi Puja will be performed at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya on the auspicious occasion of Dipavali on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 7:00 PM.
All are invited to participate in the Puja with family and friends and receive Mother Laksmi’s blessings.

Special Puja seva/sponsorship: $21 per family

Sri Laksmi Astottara-satanama seva and arcanas will be performed all day on request.

6. Parking at CMH

  1. No cell phone use within Mission campus to avoid accident to pedestrians
  2. Speed limit within campus 8 MPH
  3. Follow parking volunteers’ instruction and park as directed by the volunteers
  4. Please keep the littlest members on your sight while crossing the parking lot
  5. No drop off unless directed by the volunteers
  6. Park head on only, no reverse parking please
  7. We are in need of additional parking volunteers, please sign up at welcome desk
