2. CMH Navaratri celebration – Sat. Oct. 15, 2016

Place: New Stafford Centre at Cash Road, in Stafford, TX

Time: 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM

Tickets: (price includes dinner)

Members $ 20/- each

All Bala Vihar children – Free

Please note that we still need to know the number of Bala Vihar children who will be attending the event. Therefore, remember to provide this information when you purchase your tickets online.

Tickets for the Garba will also be sold at Mission on Sunday Oct. 09 in the Dining Area, after both the sessions. Those who have bought their tickets online, must collect their tickets from the ‘will call’ desk in the dining area this Sunday, along with their complimentary music CDs.

3. CMH Annual Diwali Puja & Gurudaksina Sun. Oct. 30, 2016

All members are invited to join our Annual Dipavali Puja which includes Ganesa Puja, Sri Laksmi Puja and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja, to be followed by Gurudakshina. As per CMH tradition the Puja will be held in two sessions in the Smrti Hall.

4. Dipavali Food Drive by CHYKs

During the auspicious festival of Diwali, let us make the offering to Bhagawan through our Food Drive for the needy and contribute to the Houston Food Bank, which feeds more than half a million needy people each year. Let us all open our hearts and pantries to donate as many pounds of foods as we can! Our CHYK and youth members will be collecting all food items in the dining area after both sessions in the entire month of October (9, 16, 23 & 30).

6. CHYK Camp at CMH – MLK Weekend Jan. 13 – 16, 2017

Face everything and Rise Retreat: Will you conquer fear, or will fear conquer you?

The Houston CHYKs would like to invite you all to join us for a fear-fighting weekend guided by Acharya Vivekji from Niagara Falls at the Face Everything and Rise Retreat over MLK weekend Jan 13-16, 2017. The camp will focus on overcoming fear and coping with the stress it causes.

It is open to CHYKs 11th grade and up, and will take place in the CM Houston center and at a nearby hotel. Registration is now open, at https://www.chykwest.com/houstoncamp2017/. Early Bird Registration lasts until October 31st for $160 (this includes all materials, meals and accommodations for the camp) and please RSVP to our Facebook Event to stay updated.
