Please note that this Sunday; all children must go directly to their own classes instead of assembling in the Smrti Hall or Sarasvati Nilayam.
2. Bala Vihar Open House – Sunday Oct. 26, 2014
On Sunday Oct. 26, 2014, during the last half an hour of the Satsanga all parents will go to their children’s classrooms for the Bala Vihar Open House.
Open House is a perfect opportunity for all parents to:
- meet with their children’s teachers
- get to know the curriculum for their children for the current year
- get to know other children and their families in their children’s class
- get involved with Bala Vihar activities as a room parent for your child’s class
Please check the classroom locations for your child’s grade {here} (Please include the link for classroom locations)
Note that the following classes are divided into two sections A and B :
- Grade 7 Session I
- Grade 8 Session I
- KG Session II
Section A consists of children having Last name starting with (A-M) and
Section B consists of children having Last name starting with (N-Z).
3. CMH receives .5% of member purchases from Amazonsmile, as donation

We are pleased to announce that CMH is now registered with the Amazonsmile program. This means that every time a CMH member buys through AmazonSmile, which is the same as Amazon, CMH will receive .5% of our member purchases towards donations. This is a great opportunity to increase contributions to CMH, without spending anything extra. Please note that members cannot claim tax deductions for this 0.5%, as this is Amazon.com’s contribution, and not the member’s contribution. 4. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH Every Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each individual gets approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations.

There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to “CMH.”
5. Yoga Classes Every Saturday 6:45 AM to 7:50 AM
Yoga classes are conducted at CMH every Saturday from 6:45AM-7:50AM.
