Bala Vihar & Adult Satsangas resumed for two sessions
The 2009-2010 Bala Vihar Year and the two-session adult Satsangas have started. The schedule for Sunday, Sept 20 will be as follows:
8:50 AM – 10:30 AM Session I Satsanga for adults
Bala Vihar PreK-Grade 12
10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Bhajana classes for children
Language classes for children (Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil)
Chanting I for Adults
Spanish class for Adults
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Session II Satsanga for adults,
Bala Vihar PreK-Grade 11,
Satsanga for Alumni
11:30 AM – 12:15 PM New Chanting class for Adults
For both the sessions at the beginning of session:
Bala Vihar children in PreK-Grade 6 will gather in Sarasvati Nilayam
Bala Vihar children in Grade 7 will gather in classroom for Grade 4
Bala Vihar children in Grade 8-12, Alumni and Adults will gather in Smrti Hall

Extra classes for Bala Vihar children
Please note that all the classes are available only to regular members who have enrolled in the program prior to August 31, 2009.
Bhajana, Slokathon and language classes are for children in Grade 1 and UP
Orchestra classes are for children in Grade 4 and UP.
Please note that to auditions are required to enroll a child in Orchestra class.
Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment
We have received the duly completed and signed re-enrollment forms from a majority of parents. However, there are a few who have still not submitted these forms. A reminder email has been sent to these parents. Please ensure that you print these forms (one form per child) and submit them at “Membership Services” table in the dining area this Sunday. We have reached maximum capacity in a number of classes and so, session availability is limited.
Please note that we will not accept any re-enrollments after Sunday September 27, 2009. Moreover, enrollment in additional classes other than Bala Vihar is no longer open.
Chanting Class for Adults Starts – Sunday, September 20, 2009
We will be starting chanting classes for adults from Sunday, September 20th. This class will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM in Tapovan Room in Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya. Those who are interested kindly sign up at the Welcome Desk for the same.
Yoga Classes at CMH every Saturday 6:45 – 7:45 AM
Every Saturday morning we have Yoga Classes in the Smrti Hall. All CMH members are welcome to join this additional class.
CMH Navaratri Celebration at Stafford Center – Saturday, October 3, 2009
This year’s CMH Navaratri Garaba will be celebrated at the Stafford Center, on October 3, 2009. Please click here for further details of this festival.
The event is just two Sundays away. Please make sure that you get your tickets this Sunday. We will be accepting cash, check and credit card payments for all ticket sales.
Volunteer Need for the CMH Library
We need two volunteers for the library after the second class from 1 to 1:20 PM for check-in and check-out of library books and cassettes. The work is very simple. The only requirement is regularity. If you are interested, please sign up in the library located on the second floor in front of the elevator.
