There is a special activity planned for the 11th Graders, this Sunday. All 11th Graders are requested to sit in the front rows in the Smrti Hall.
2. CMH Summer Schedule May 20 thru Sep.07, 2019
Last day of this year’s Bala Vihar and adult Satsanga classes is May. 19, 2019. The next academic year will start on Sep. 08, 2019.
During the summer months we have other activities planned including Jnana Yajnas, details of which are outlined in the items below.
3. Chinmaya Mission Graduation Ceremony Mon. May 27, 2018
On Mon. May 27, we will have a special program in honor of our graduating class.
Time: 8:45 AM to 11:30 AM
All adults and Bala Vihar children in grades 9 – 12 are welcome to be part of this special program.
4. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2019-2020
Bala Vihar re-enrollment is underway for the 2019-2020 academic year. Eligible families should have received the online re-enrollment link and if not, please send an email to CMHRegistrations@chinmayahouston.org. Please fill out the online form and submit it as soon as you can.
Please verify your individual forms, and make necessary edits to ensure that the following information is correct:
- Grade the Bala Vihar child will be attending in September 2019
- Session you would like to attend for the year 2019-2020
- Enter proper selection for extra class option – only one extra class can be selected.
- Please check all the pre-filled information and make changes where required.
Deadline to fill out Bala Vihar re-enrollment form is May 31, 2019.
5. Junior CHYK Day Camp Jun. 10 -14, 2019

6. CHYK camp June 14-16, 2019
“L’eggo my ego” based on Sri Ramcharitmanas. Conducted by Acharya Vivek ji and Brni. Shweta Chaitanya
Dates: June 14-16
Time: all day (stay at hotel)
Location: CMH (sleeping accommodation at hotel, transportation will be provided)
Age group: 18-28, including incoming college freshmen.

7. Jnana Yajna by Pujya Gaurang Uncle Jul. 04 to Jul. 07, 2019

This summer we will have an opportunity to soak in a beautiful text – “Drg Drsya Viveka”. Even more exciting is the fact that it will be conducted by our very own Pujya Gaurang Uncle.

8. Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi Day at CMH Sat. Aug. 03, 2019

9. Jnana Yajna at CMH by Swami Ramakrishnananda – Aug. 18 – 23, 2019
We are happy to announce that this year, Swami Ramakrishnananda ji will be conducting the Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Mission Houston. Swamiji has a unique and jovial style of communicating with his audience, which makes his discourses very entertaining and enlightening, be it Vedanta, Gita, Bhagavatam, Ramayana or even a course in Easy Sanskrit.
The schedule for the pravacanas will be as below:
